Sori and her groom had a vision all their own; unlike anything I’d ever seen. Their wedding had a nerd theme. Legends of Zelda, Star Wars, Star Trek, Pokemon… you get the idea. They encouraged guests to dress in costume, which you will see. Each reception table was decorated with a different themed centerpiece. It was absolutely fun, unique, and without a doubt a lifestyle they held dear in their hearts.
Before I go, I want to share a little story. I was only at the Wild Rose Weddings in Arlington, WA for a few moments. Just long enough to hand over the bridal bouquets and give some last minute instructions. The location is truly picturesque, especially on a summer day.
As I left the bridal suite, I was asked to find the groom before leaving. He had something for me. This was the first time I had met the groom. Very quietly, he led me to the kitchen and handed over a little card. To be perfectly honest, I don’t know what the heck the card was… and still don’t know what it is! It kinda looked like a modernized baseball card or Pokemon card. Whatever it was, the card absolutely caught me off guard. I could barely get the words, “Thank you,” out without my voice cracking. It was one of the sweetest things I have ever received! I was truly truly touched. They had taken the time to create a token of thanks for First & Bloom… for me.
Even today that card is tucked away in my car as a reminder of their special day.
I will cherish it always.
As an outdoor August wedding, selecting flowers that could hold up in heat and without water was important. Orchids rock!
When Sori saw her bouquet for the first time, she said the draping amaranth looked like tentacles! She love it!
Sori's flowers were absolutely fun to create!
I was SO excited to get to work!
The bridal bouquet was actually difficult to photo. It was SO long, it was hard to capture the gorgeous detail without leaving some of the bouquet out!
