Remember that winter tablescape Missy Palacol Photography, Holcomb Weddings & Events, and First & Bloom worked together on in early December? Well, that project led to another working with two other businesses, Wane + Flitch and Once Upon A Cake and Crafts in January.
If you haven't heard of Wane+Flitch, let me introduce you. Their craft is STUNNING! Wane+Flitch is a live edge wood furniture company, creating unique and timeless furniture pieces from local salvaged trees based out of Tacoma, WA. When I first took a peak on their website, I thought, "This is going to be good!" Yet, walking into their showroom, I was taken back. We even received a tour of their workshop- absolutely fascinating! The knowledge, workmanship, and integrity of the trees was amazing.
Additionally, I met up-and-coming Ashlee Christman, the owner of Once Upon A Cake and Crafts. She was an absolute delight and look forward to working with her again. She designed this dreamy little cake, which we nestled on a bed of living moss. She also baked chocolate cake pops dusted with gold frosting. This little rectangular cake-on-a-stick is the perfect bite of sweetness. Hmmmm, one might not be enough!
The scene for this tablescape represented two stages of life. The wedding and the after! These days, many brides are choosing to slim down the wedding details. Less invites, more personal. Less stress, more meaning. Just because a wedding might be smaller, doesn't mean it can't be amazing. Here, we captured an intimate wedding tablescape for the bride who wants beautiful detail without the fuss.
