Hosting a workshop at my home had been on my mind for a while, and it finally happened! Last week, I hosted Friday Night Flowers to a group of really amazing women. Brought together by a love of flowers, we learned how our various backgrounds and specialties can empower us all.
There's no better way to share this story than through beautiful pictures. Please enjoy!
I was a little overwhelmed with the cameras all at once!
anticipation to make their own floral creation!
Meet Julia Case of Fairview Farm in Ellensburg, WA. She brought gorgeous, locally-grown blooms and the sweetest soul.
Dawn Parsons of Partytildawn worked with ease and confidence. Look at that arching branch! Love it!
Carleeh Mulholland of Healthy Socialite created a lush and full arrangement with lots of texture and depth.
Heather Rasmus of ThriftynSeattle has such fun energy. The bold pops of color in her design express her personality.
Feeling very blessed to have this woman as a guest. Debra Prinzing went straight for the All-American red, white, and blue!
Riva Jaurez of Riva La Diva had her eye on those fuchsia pink dahlias the moment she arrived.
I love this photo. One, because I met a really lovely new friend, Riva Juarez who designed this gorgeous arrangement herself. And two, because this is my favorite photo of myself of the night.
Who wants to take a floral workshop???
(Just to give you an idea of where I am with this, I'm planning a workshop on September 30th. There, I said it! I really want to host two more by the end of the year. One for Thanksgiving and one for the Holidays. My biggest challenge at this point is outdoor space and weather. I'd really like to host this at my home for a variety of reasons. In having a workshop at my home, it not only saves on overhead expenses which ultimately saves on overall workshop pricing, but it also adds to the authentic experience. My dream is to host workshops in a barn someday. Right now, we don't have this. So, I've got to make something with what I have and work through these challenges. Thank you for sticking with me on this journey.)
