#10 Winter Photo Shoot!
As luck would have it, I partnered with two fantastic professionals in photography in December. The concept of Holcomb Weddings & Events, Missy Palacol Photography and myself was to create a trio of tablescapes to carry us through the busy holiday season. First, was a winter table in soft winter pastels. Second, we integrated design elements with Christmasy details. Third, we incorporated New Year's sparkle. The floral centerpiece worked in tandum with each festive twist we designed. We felt our audience would relate to the pressures of back-to-back events and dinner parties that happen over the busy holiday season. Yet, we didn't want to follow the traditional color palette of red and green.
The imagery and design is amazing, yet there was something else we hadn't planned on. We found synergy. I can assure you, there is more to come from the Callie, the Missy, and the Tammy in 2017!
Happy Year Everyone! 2017 is going to be better than ever! That's a wrap!
#9 South Asian Wedding Show!
On a personal note, I would LOVE to attend an Indian wedding. Based on the wedding show experience, they look like so much fun! On a professional level, I absolutely love the vibrant colors, rich textures, and exquisite fabrics. Held in the fall when dahlias were still in bloom, I wanted to celebrate their gorgeous glory. Varying hues of purple dahlias would be the stars of the show.
I also learned appreciation for event planning. When designing this table, I had to stretch my planning beyond just florals. I had to envision all the elements of a wedding table. It was actually a lot of fun. The best part was seeing it come together beautifully.
A big thank you to Lisa Behringer for her help and support on this day.
